Each route below opens a working page on this site. Demonstration pages use invented parties and documents, labeled as such. Automated exchanges with the AI Legal Analyst are not reviewed by me individually.
The custom workflow, demonstrated
Ask the AI Legal Analyst with a made-up matter, then open a synthetic workroom. Nothing on the demonstration pages is a real client.

The settlement, demand letter, contract and compliance workrooms, populated with invented documents so the structure can be inspected.

Two things to evaluate separately
The firm's system
- Custom application and workflow code: the AI Legal Analyst and matter router, the legal-ai Worker (intake, matter state, engagement signing, workroom access, notifications, metering), and the public tools.
- Runs on Cloudflare (Workers, R2, D1, KV), OpenAI models through the API, PayPal and Resend. The stack page lists every component.
- The firm publishes fixed fees. Paid legal work funds the free public resources. The firm has received no sponsorship, grants or subscription revenue.
The attorney's own contribution in 2026
- July 1: the custom engagement engine went live (53 completed signings through October 31).
- July 2: published the post-mortem of a real intake failure that ran about five weeks and was fixed the day it was found.
- July: launched the Access to Justice Lab with five California pathways, registries, methodology and a corrections policy.
- October 25: the firm won the Law Firm category of the 2026 American Legal Technology Awards, for showing that a single attorney, using AI as infrastructure, can run a full-service firm and offer free self-help tools.
How each number was counted
Engagement signings
A listing of the engine's storage: one folder per engagement letter, counted only when it holds both a signing certificate and the executed copy. Test and sandbox folders are excluded. The count is signings; a client with a second phase appears twice.
Payment to document email
Mail extraction run October 31, 2026 (Pacific). Every PayPal payment notice in the firm's mailbox for the period with an identifiable payer address (337). For each, the first email the firm sent to that address carrying a Word or PDF attachment within 45 days, excluding subjects that mention an invoice, receipt, payment or engagement. 154 matched; the median elapsed time of that matched set is reported. Unmatched payments (answers written in the email body, portal deliveries, deposits on multi-stage matters, work billed through other platforms) are excluded, so the measure describes the matched subset only. Payments dated after September 16, 2026 had less than the full 45 day observation period at extraction.
AI Legal Analyst threads and turns
A read-only query of the firm's matter database (Cloudflare D1, timestamps in UTC, window boundaries at Pacific midnight): threads whose last activity falls in the 30-day window, and the sum of all turns recorded in those threads. The method matches the September 17, 2026 count. Test conversations run by the firm are excluded. Threads are not distinct people, retained clients or completed matters.
Free tool sessions and completions
Google Analytics 4 (property time zone Pacific) sessions filtered by page path family (calculators, document generators, NDA Studio, automated terms and privacy reviews, formation guides, interactive tools), each family deduplicated on its own; a session that viewed two families counts in both, so no combined total is published. Calculator completions are the calculator_completed event count. Document downloads are not instrumented and are not claimed. Retrieved October 31, 2026.
Technology cost
The Cloudflare invoice amount as notified (service period and line items not verified from the dashboard); OpenAI API spend from the firm's project billing for October 2 to 31, 2026, which includes uses beyond the Analyst (the firm's own meter attributed $50.33 to the Analyst for October 1 to 30, included in that amount); development subscriptions as confirmed by the firm. Attorney time and all other practice costs are excluded. No cost reduction against a baseline is claimed.
