I've been trying to resolve this on my own but I'm stuck.

fired for refusing to do something illegal. I've been dealing with this for about 14 months now and the situation isn't improving.

I have worked at this company for 9 years. My position is non-exempt and I do have a written employment agreement beyond the standard offer letter.

What are my legal options here? Is it worth pursuing?

Has anyone mentioned the WARN Act? If there were 100+ employees and they didn't give 60 days notice, that's a separate federal claim worth pursuing.
