English isn't my first language so bear with me. I've been trying to resolve this in North Carolina on my own but I'm stuck.

remote worker being told to relocate or resign. I've been dealing with this for about 3 weeks now and the situation isn't improving.

I have worked at this company for 12 years. My position is non-exempt and I do not have a written employment agreement beyond the standard offer letter.

Has anyone been through something similar? What worked for you?

I've handled similar cases. Here's my take on the legal issues.

This is a common situation and the law is fairly clear. Under the FMLA, qualifying and covered.

The practical consideration here is cost vs. potential recovery. For disputes under $10K, small claims court is often the best route.

This happened to me too. Have you tried filing a complaint with the relevant agency? In my case they investigated and it got resolved without needing a lawyer.

I mean been there. Here's what I learned.

A lot of people mess up by is having everything documented. I'd recommend keeping a detailed timeline instead.

If you can swing it, a consultation is probably your best next move here.
