Quick background on my situation — any input appreciated.

someone copied my website design. I've been dealing with this for about 16 weeks now and the situation isn't improving.

This involves content I created over the past 14 months. I do not have documentation proving my ownership and timeline.

Should I hire a lawyer for this or try to handle it myself?

I've seen this play out several times in my field.

I ended up filing with the appropriate government agency, which cost about $4-8 but saved me a lot more in the long run.

This might be obvious, but always read the fine print before signing anything. I know, I know — nobody does. But the one time I actually read a 30-page agreement, I found a clause that would have waived my right to sue. Got it removed before signing.
