Has anyone dealt with remote worker being told to relocate or resign?

I'm dealing with a situation and need some guidance.

remote worker being told to relocate or resign. I've been dealing with this for about 6 months now and the situation isn't improving.

I have worked at this company for 5 years. My position is exempt and I do have a written employment agreement beyond the standard offer letter.

Am I overthinking this or is this a real legal issue worth pursuing?

I went through almost the exact same thing.

Most folks screw this up by is filing with the appropriate government agency. I'd recommend gathering evidence first instead.
