Has anyone dealt with something like this in Ohio? I'm not sure what my options are.

mass layoff without WARN Act notice. I've been dealing with this for about 9 weeks now and the situation isn't improving.

I have worked at this company for 12 years. My position is non-exempt and I do not have a written employment agreement beyond the standard offer letter.

Am I overthinking this or is this a real legal issue worth pursuing?

This comes up a lot.

The magic words were "let me speak to your supervisor"/manager. It took 1-3 months but was worth it.

Just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long imo.

I specialize in this area of law. Here's my take on the legal issues.

This is a common situation and the law is fairly clear. Under the FMLA, qualifying and covered.

One important thing — there are strict deadlines for filing these claims. Don't wait too long.

I went through almost the exact same thing.

What worked for me was hiring an attorney to send the initial letter. It took 2-4 months but was worth it.

Been there. Here's what I learned.

I ended up filing with teh appropriate government agency, which cost about $4-8 but saved me a lot more in the long run sadly.

Not gonna lie, I put off calling an attorney for weeks. Wish I hadn't waited.

I've dealt with this before.

In my case, it took about 2-4 months to resolve. The key was hiring an attorney to send the initial letter fr fr.

I went through almost the exact same thing.

I ended up having everything documented, which cost about $3-6 but saved me a lot more in the long run.

NAL, but from what I've read, you should file a complaint. Of course the details matter a lot here.
