I've been trying to resolve this in North Carolina on my own but I'm stuck.

denied overtime for 6 months. I've been dealing with this for about 3 weeks now and the situation isn't improving.

Has anyone been through something similar? What worked for you?

Not a lawyer, but I have direct experience with this.

In my case, it took about 1-3 months to resolve. The key was escalating to a supervisor/manager.

Just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long.

Document everything. Emails, texts, pay stubs - all of it. You'll need this if it goes to litigation.

I went through something similar. The waiting period for the labor board was about 3 months.

Have you filed a complaint with the labor board yet? That's usually the first step.
