FMLA Leave Denied — DOGE layoff with inadequate severance

Quick background on my situation — any input appreciated.

DOGE layoff with inadequate severance. I've been dealing with this for about 8 months now and the situation isn't improving.

I have worked at this company for 12 years. My position is non-exempt and I do have a written employment agreement beyond the standard offer letter.

Has anyone been through something similar? What worked for you?

I went through almost the exact same thing.

The biggest mistake people make in this situation is hiring an attorney to send the initial letter. I'd recommend being patient with the process instead.
