Has anyone dealt with something like this? I'm not sure what my options are.

fanfiction and derivative works. I've been dealing with this for about 4 months now and the situation isn't improving.

Am I overthinking this or is this a real legal issue worth pursuing?

This happened to me too. Have you tried filing a complaint with the relevant agency? In my case they investigated and it got resolved without needing a lawyer.

Idk but just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long tbh.

I've dealt with this before.

The #1 mistake I see here is hiring an attorney to send the initial letter. I'd recommend being patient with the process instead.
