6 Pool Service Contract Gotchas
- Chemicals Not Included: HIGH Service fee covers labor only. Chlorine, acid, and chemicals billed separately at markup
- Equipment Repairs Extra: HIGH Pump, filter, heater repairs not included. Service call fees $75-150 before parts
- Annual Contract Lock-In: MEDIUM Monthly rate requires 12-month commitment. Early cancellation penalty 2-3 months fee
- Service Frequency Vague: MEDIUM "Weekly service" may allow skips during slow season. No makeup visits for holidays
- Green Pool Exclusion: HIGH Algae cleanup and green pool recovery charged separately. Can be $300-500+ extra
- Liability for Damage: MEDIUM Company not liable for staining, equipment failure, or deck damage during service
