Quick background on my situation — any input appreciated.

bank won't reverse wire transfer. I've been dealing with this for about 5 months now and the situation isn't improving.

The amount being held/disputed is approximately $11,669. I have tried contacting their legal department 7 times with no resolution.

Has anyone been through something similar? What worked for you?

NAL as far as I know, but from what I've read, you should check your state's specific laws. Standard disclaimer: talk to an actual attorney for your case.

Been there. Here's what I learned.

In my case, it took about 4-8 months to resolve. The key was filing with the appropriate government agency.

I've dealt with this before.

In my case, it took about 3-6 months to resolve. The key was having everything documented.

I've dealt with this before.

In my case, it took about 2-4 months to resolve. The key was hiring an attorney to send the initial letter.

Ngl this happened to me too. Have you tried filing a complaint with the relevant agency? In my case they investigated and it got resolved without needing a lawyer.

Not a lawyer, but I have direct experience with this.

What worked for me was having everything documented. It took 3-6 months but was worth it.

I spent way more time googling than I should have before just calling a lawyer.

NAL, but from what I've read, you should send a written demand. But yeah, have someone look at your specific situation.

I ended up escalating to a supervisor/manager, which cost about $1-3 but saved me a lot more in the long run.

Been there. Here's what I learned.

The #1 mistake I see here is filing with the appropriate government agency. I'd recommend gathering evidence first instead.

Have you tried reaching out to your state's legal aid society? They sometimes have free resources or mediation services.
