I'm in a difficult situation and trying to figure out my next steps.

scope creep with no amendment. I've been dealing with this for about 7 weeks now and the situation isn't improving.

The contract was signed 3 months ago. I have a copy of the original agreement. The total amount in dispute is approximately $44,000.

What are my legal options here? Is it worth pursuing?

I've handled similar cases. Here's my take on the legal issues.

Based on what you've described, you likely have a viable claim under UCC Article 2. The standard is whether a reasonable person would find the conduct a material breach.

Before taking legal action, consider sending a formal demand letter. In many cases, this alone resolves the issue.

Just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long.

NAL, but from what I've read, you should check your state's specific laws. That said, definitely get a lawyer to look at the specifics.
