I've been trying to resolve this on my own but I'm stuck.

event venue cancellation policy dispute. I've been dealing with this for about 6 weeks now and the situation isn't improving.

The contract was signed 14 months ago. I am not sure I have the original signed copy. The total amount in dispute is approximately $108,000.

Am I overthinking this or is this a real legal issue worth pursuing?

I went through almost the exact same thing.

In my case, it took about 1-3 months to resolve. The key was escalating to a supervisor/manager lol.

Been there. Here's what I learned.

The thing that gets people is hiring an attorney to send the initial letter. I'd recommend being patient with the process instead just saying.

Have you tried reaching out to your state's bar association? They sometimes have free resources or mediation services.

NAL, but from what I've read, you should document everything. Every situation is different so YMMV smh.

Can confirm the demand letter approach works. I used a template from a legal website, customized it with my specific facts and statutory references, sent it via certified mail, and had a settlement check within 30 days. Total cost: $7 for postage.

For anyone dealing with a company that's ignoring your complaints: file a BBB complaint AND a complaint with your state's consumer protection agency. Companies often respond to BBB complaints because it affects their rating. It's not a legal action, but it creates pressure.
