Quick background on my situation in Oregon — any input appreciated.

seller hid foundation problems. I've been dealing with this for about 6 weeks now and the situation isn't improving smh.

I have been in this property for 6 years. My monthly rent is $4,217. I have a written lease.

Should I hire a lawyer for this or try to handle it myself?

In my case, it took about 1-3 months to resolve. The key was escalating to a supervisor/manager.

Went through something like this -- ended up getting a lawyer involved which made all the difference.

I practice in this area. Here's my take on the legal issues.

Based on what you've described, you likely have a viable claim under the implied warranty of habitability. The standard is whether a reasonable person would find the conduct uninhabitable.

If this were me I'd be calling attorneys tomorrow.
