I'm in a difficult situation and trying to figure out my next steps.

contract has unconscionable terms. I've been dealing with this for about 9 months now and the situation isn't improving.

The contract was signed 7 months ago. I have a copy of the original agreement. The total amount in dispute is approximately $101,000.

What are my legal options here? Is it worth pursuing?

Ngl have you tried reaching out to your state's consumer protection office? They sometimes have free resources or mediation services tbh.

Been there. Here's what I learned.

What worked for me was filing with the appropriate government agency. It took 4-8 months but was worth it.

Been there. Here's what I learned.

In my case, it took about 2-4 months to resolve. The key was hiring an attorney to send the initial letter.

Fwiw attorney here. Here's my take on the legal issues.

This is a common situation and the law is fairly clear. Under UCC Article 2, a material breach.

I'd recommend documenting everything in writing from this point forward. Keep copies of all communications.

Not a lawyer, but I have direct experience with this.

A lot of people mess up by is escalating to a supervisor/manager. I'd recommend following the formal complaint procedure instead.

Following this thread — This is eerily similar to what I'm dealing with. Keep us posted?

Here's where people usually go wrong is having everything documented. I'd recommend keeping a detailed timeline instead.

This happened to me too. Have you tried filing a complaint with the relevant agency? In my case they investigated and it got resolved without needing a lawyer.

I work in this industry and unfortunately this is very common. The good news is that when people actually push back with legal representation, companies usually settle.

I just learned that indemnification clauses can be mutual or one-sided. Always push for mutual indemnification — if they want you to indemnify them, they should indemnify you too. It's basic fairness.
