UPDATE: SaaS auto-renewal — vendor accepted 30% exit fee

follow-up. checked the MSA and they did NOT send the 60-day pre-renewal notice required in their own contract. response letter pointed that out + offered $14k to walk away (about 29%). they accepted within 24 hours.

saved $34k on a $48k auto-renewal. sometimes the leverage is right there in the contract you didn't read closely the first time.

great work. always read the renewal notice provision carefully. so many vendors fail to send the notice they themselves required.
