Looking for advice on a legal issue in Michigan. Here's what happened.

foreign LLC registration requirements. I've been dealing with this for about 4 months now and the situation isn't improving.

Should I hire a lawyer for this or try to handle it myself?

I specialize in this area of law. Here's my take on the legal issues.

There are several legal theories that could apply here. The strongest is probably the relevant statute, which requires showing actionable.

A lawyer who does this kind of work could probably help. Some do free consults.

Real talk: just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long.

I was in your shoes about 6 months ago. Lawyer helped me sort it out pretty quick.

I've dealt with this before.

What worked for me was hiring an attorney to send the initial letter. It took 2-4 months but was worth it.

Have you tried reaching out to your state's labor board? They sometimes have free resources or mediation services.

I dragged my feet on getting legal advice and it cost me. Don't be like me lol

Been there. Here's what I learned.

In my case, it took about 4-8 months to resolve. The key was filing with the appropriate government agency.

NAL, but from what I've read, you should send a written demand. Standard disclaimer: talk to an actual attorney for your case.
