My little candle company got picked up in a gift-guide video two Fridays ago and we did more sales in 48 hours than in the previous six months, about $11,200, basically all through PayPal. Monday at 7am: "Your account has been limited." They want supplier invoices, proof of fulfillment, my ID, and an explanation of the "change in account activity." The explanation is... a video went viral? Which apparently is exactly what fraud looks like to a risk system.
Meanwhile I have 340 orders to fill, the money to fill them is frozen, and I'm floating supplies on a personal credit card. What actually gets these lifted? And do I keep shipping orders when I can't touch the money they paid me with?
