Quick background on my situation — any input appreciated.

SaaS provider changed terms unilaterally. I've been dealing with this for about 16 weeks now and the situation isn't improving.

The contract was signed 21 months ago. I am not sure I have the original signed copy. The total amount in dispute is approximately $118,000.

Has anyone been through something similar? What worked for you?

Licensed attorney — a few thoughts. Here's my take on the legal issues.

Based on what you've described, you likely have a viable claim under common law contract principles. The standard is whether a reasonable person would find the conduct unconscionable.

The practical consideration here is cost vs. potential recovery. For disputes under $10K, small claims court is often the best route.

This happened to me too. Have you tried filing a complaint with the relevant agency? In my case they investigated and it got resolved without needing a lawyer.

I went through almost the exact same thing.

I ended up hiring an attorney to send the initial letter, which cost about $2-4 but saved me a lot more in the long run.

Not gonna lie, I put off calling an attorney for weeks. Wish I hadn't waited.

Have you tried reaching out to your state's bar association? They sometimes have free resources or mediation services.

NAL, but from what I've read, you should file a complaint. Your mileage may vary depending on the specifics.

I went through almost the exact same thing.

In my case, it took about 1-3 months to resolve. The key was escalating to a supervisor/manager.

Not a lawyer, but I have direct experience with this.

I ended up escalating to a supervisor/manager, which cost about $1-3 but saved me a lot more in the long run.
