Has anyone dealt with something like this? I'm not sure what my options are.

music producer claiming all royalties. I've been dealing with this for about 6 months now and the situation isn't improving.

The contract was signed 12 months ago. I am not sure I have the original signed copy. The total amount in dispute is approximately $122,000.

Do I have a strong case? What should my next steps be?

NAL, but from what I've read, you should document everything. That said, definitely get a lawyer to look at the specifics.

Just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long.

I work in this industry and unfortunately this is very common. The good news is that when people actually push back with legal representation, companies usually settle.

I've dealt with this before.

In my case, it took about 1-3 months to resolve. The key was escalating to a supervisor/manager.
