Quick background on my situation — any input appreciated.

seller hid foundation problems. I've been dealing with this for about 10 months now and the situation isn't improving.

I have been renting for 2 years. My monthly rent is $2,162. I have a written lease.

Has anyone been through something similar? What worked for you?

NAL, but from what I've read or whatever, you should check your state's specific laws. Standard disclaimer: talk to an actual attorney for your case.

Been there. Here's what I learned.

Don't make the same mistake I did -- is having everything documented. I'd recommend keeping a detailed timeline instead.

Not a lawyer, but I have direct experience with this.

In my case, it took about 4-8 months to resolve. The key was filing with the appropriate government agency.

This happened to me too. Have you tried filing a complaint with the relevant agency? In my case they investigated and it got resolved without needing a lawyer.

I went through almost the exact same thing.

In my case, it took about 3-6 months to resolve. The key was having everything documented.

I've dealt with this before.

Here's where people usually go wrong is filing with the appropriate government agency. I'd recommend gathering evidence first instead.

Not surprised at all tbh.

In my case, it took about 2-4 months to resolve. The key was hiring an attorney to send the initial letter.

I spent way more time googling than I should have before just calling a lawyer.
