Has anyone dealt with something like this? I'm not sure what my options are.

Airbnb damage claim vs security deposit. I've been dealing with this for about 3 months now and the situation isn't improving.

I have been renting for 5 years. My monthly rent is $3,317. I have a written lease.

What are my legal options here? Is it worth pursuing?

Just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long.

NAL, but from what I've read, you should send a written demand. That said, definitely get a lawyer to look at the specifics.

This happened to me too. Have you tried filing a complaint with the relevant agency? In my case they investigated and it got resolved without needing a lawyer.

Been there. Here's what I learned.

I ended up having everything documented, which cost about $3-6 but saved me a lot more in the long run.

I've dealt with this before.

In my case, it took about 1-3 months to resolve. The key was escalating to a supervisor/manager.

I've handled similar cases. Here's my take on the legal issues.

The legal framework here involves both federal and state law. At the federal level, state landlord-tenant code. Your state may provide additional protections.

One important thing — there are strict deadlines for filing these claims. Don't wait too long.
