Quick background on my situation — any input appreciated.

SaaS provider changed terms unilaterally. I've been dealing with this for about 11 months now and the situation isn't improving.

The contract was signed 16 months ago. I have a copy of the original agreement. The total amount in dispute is approximately $87,000.

Am I overthinking this or is this a real legal issue worth pursuing?

I went through almost the exact same thing.

In my case, it took about 2-4 months to resolve. The key was hiring an attorney to send the initial letter.

I work in this industry and unfortunately this is very common. The good news is that when people actually push back with legal representation, companies usually settle.

Just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long.

Important to note: statutes of limitations vary by state. In California it's generally 4 years for written contracts and 2 years for oral contracts. Don't wait too long to take action or you might be time-barred.
