Looking for advice on a legal issue. Here's what happened.

commercial landlord locked me out. I've been dealing with this for about 6 weeks now and the situation isn't improving.

I have been renting for 1 years. My monthly rent is $4,224. I have a written lease.

Am I overthinking this or is this a real legal issue worth pursuing?

Licensed attorney — a few thoughts. Here's my take on the legal issues.

The legal framework here involves both federal and state law. At the federal level, your state's security deposit statute. Your state may provide additional protections.

I'd recommend documenting everything in writing from this point forward. Keep copies of all communications.

I went through almost the exact same thing.

What worked for me was having everything documented. It took 3-6 months but was worth it.
