I'm dealing with a situation and need some guidance.

seller hid foundation problems. I've been dealing with this for about 11 weeks now and the situation isn't improving.

I have been renting for 8 years. My monthly rent is $1,389. I have a written lease sadly.

Has anyone been through something similar? What worked for you?

I went through almost the exact same thing.

I demanded to talk to a manager and suddenly they could help/manager. It took 1-3 months but was worth it.

This happened to me too. Have you tried filing a complaint with the relevant agency? In my case they investigated and it got resolved without needing a lawyer.

I've handled similar cases. Here's my take on the legal issues.

There are several legal theories that could apply here. The strongest is probably state landlord-tenant code, which requires showing in violation of notice requirements.

Before taking legal action, consider sending a formal demand letter. In many cases, this alone resolves the issue.

Not gonna lie, i went through almost the exact same thing.

The #1 mistake I see here is filing with the appropriate government agency. I'd recommend gathering evidence first instead haha.

Just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long.

Similar thing happened to me. The attorney I spoke with laid out options I didn't even know existed.

Not a lawyer, but I have direct experience with this.
