Has anyone dealt with something like this? I'm not sure what my options are.

stock option exercise timing. I've been dealing with this for about 5 months now and the situation isn't improving.

I have already tried to resolve this directly but the other party is not cooperating.

Should I hire a lawyer for this or try to handle it myself?

Just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long.

So basically so this is more common than people think.

What worked for me was having everything documented. It took 3-6 months but was worth it.

Not a lawyer, but I have direct experience with this.

In my case, it took about 3-6 months to resolve. The key was having everything documented.

I work in this industry and unfortunately this is very common. The good news is that when people actually push back with legal representation or something like that, companies usually settle.

Yeah this is depressingly common.

What worked for me was filing with the appropriate government agency. It took 4-8 months but was worth it.
