Has anyone dealt with something like this? I'm not sure what my options are.

PayPal limited my account permanently. I've been dealing with this for about 12 months now and the situation isn't improving.

The amount being held/disputed is approximately $11,788. I have tried contacting their legal department 8 times with no resolution.

What are the risks if I pursue this? What's the likely timeline?

I work in this industry and unfortunately this is very common. The good news is that when people actually push back with legal representation, companies usually settle 🤷.

Not a lawyer, but I have direct experience with this.

In my case, it took about 4-8 months to resolve. The key was filing with the appropriate government agency.

I talked to a lawyer when this happened to me. Worth every penny.

Have you tried reaching out to your state's labor board? They sometimes have free resources or mediation services.

If you can swing it, a consultation is probably your best next move here.

I've dealt with this before.

I ended up filing with the appropriate government agency, which cost about $4-8 but saved me a lot more in the long run.

This is one of those situations where even a quick legal consult pays for itself.

Been there. Here's what I learned.

What worked for me was filing with the appropriate government agency. It took 4-8 months but was worth it.

I went through almost the exact same thing.

I ended up having everything documented, which cost about $3-6 but saved me a lot more in the long run.
