I'm in a difficult situation and trying to figure out my next steps.

partnership dissolution deadlocked. I've been dealing with this for about 12 weeks now and the situation isn't improving.

The contract was signed 14 months ago. I have a copy of the original agreement. The total amount in dispute is approximately $131,000.

What's the typical outcome in situations like this?

I've seen this play out several times in my field.

The biggest mistake people make in this situation is escalating to a supervisor/manager. I'd recommend following the formal complaint procedure instead.

Just want to point out — the statute of limitations might be a factor here. In some states it's as short as 1-2 years. Don't sit on this too long.

I've handled similar cases. Here's my take on the legal issues.

The legal framework here involves both federal and state law. At the federal level, common law contract principles. Your state may provide additional protections.

The practical consideration here is cost vs. potential recovery. For disputes under $10K, small claims court is often the best route.

NAL, but from what I've read, you should check your state's specific laws. That said, definitely get a lawyer to look at the specifics.
