I've been trying to resolve this on my own but I'm stuck.

music producer claiming all royalties. I've been dealing with this for about 7 months now and the situation isn't improving.

The contract was signed 10 months ago. I have a copy of the original agreement. The total amount in dispute is approximately $140,000.

Am I overthinking this or is this a real legal issue worth pursuing?

I was in your shoes about 6 months ago. Lawyer helped me sort it out pretty quick.

I went through almost the exact same thing.

What worked for me was hiring an attorney to send the initial letter. It took 2-4 months but was worth it.

Tbh i specialize in this area of law. Here's my take on the legal issues.

There are several legal theories that could apply here. The strongest is probably UCC Article 2, which requires showing a material breach.

I'd recommend documenting everything in writing from this point forward. Keep copies of all communications.

Look, been there. Here's what I learned.

In my case, it took about 2-4 months to resolve. The key was hiring an attorney to send the initial letter.

What trips people up most is escalating to a supervisor/manager. I'd recommend following the formal complaint procedure instead.
